Hey there! I’m David, a Magic: The Gathering enthusiast with a deep love for Pauper. My journey started back in 2011 when I became the first Central American Champion in El Salvador, which really kicked off my passion for the game. Since then, I’ve had the honor of competing in the first two MTG Arena Championships for both the Neon Dynasty and Streets of New Capenna sets. But when it comes to formats, Pauper is where I’ve always felt at home. I love how accessible it is, the depth it offers, and the endless deckbuilding possibilities. Table of Contents Pauper Jund Dredge Deck List How to Play it Jund Dredge, as its namesake keyword says, is a deck around the Dredge mechanic, which lets you mill cards from the top of your library in exchange for putting the card with it on your hand. The idea behind this is to mill as many creatures as possible to finish things off by reanimating a [card]Lotleth Giant[/card], which damages an opponent based on the number of creatures in your graveyard. ​ Pauper is currently a format dominated by robots, or so it seems. The recent buff for the Azorius Affinity Archetype, Novice Inspector, has proven to be strong in a deck that values the extra body and artifact it provides. Over the last two weeks, the upgraded versions of Affinity have risen in popularity, but the meta still sees the same contenders trying to beat the robots. Let’s take a look at the current Pauper top 10 Archetypes: Boros Synthesizer ​ For a while, Boros has been one of the most popular decks in the Format; however, it's not performing exceptionally well. It does have access to eight copies of Thraben Inspector, but the deck is significantly slower. Today, I will highlight five unique decks that have achieved undefeated records in MTGO Leagues. Before diving into the decks, it's important to note that results in Leagues can sometimes be misleading. For instance, favorable pairings can significantly influence outcomes. If your deck is strong against Mono-Red and you happen to face that archetype three or four times, which is quite possible in Pauper due to the format's nature, your results might not fully represent your deck's overall performance.   Pauper Brews Table of Contents Wilds of Eldraine releases on September 5th Wilds of Eldraine's complete set has finally been revealed, and while it has some cool cards like  Troublemaker Ouphe , it doesn’t seem like it will impact Pauper Heavily. Out of 101 commons, just two or three seem meta-relevant, but as always, time will tell if anyone can break it with these limited tools. Lessons Learned from LOTR (Current Pauper Metagame) After a couple of weeks of looking at results on MTGO (Challenges, Qualifiers, Leagues, etc.), the Pauper meta seems like it's still the same, although I must say that the burn dominance has been a bit shattered thanks to the rise in popularity of Dimir Terror Decks. This is because of one card:   Lórien Revealed . As previously highlighted in my   TOP 10 LOTR cards video , Its job may seem simple, a replacement of an Ash Barrens, but actually, it does a bit more than that.
